Cutting water in Newport's Back Bay was a very tranquil experience, but I couldn't help comparing it to a previous adventure in Monterrey Bay. This felt much more urbanized, with the wildlife's habitat on the run from mankind.
At age 7, I mimicked my father and pretended to take a picture with a toy camera. After the "shot," I exclaimed (to my Mom's delight), "Not enough light!"
At 13-years-old, I picked up my Dad's Minolta SRT102 and shot a few rolls of black and white film, with some help. Since my adolescence, my life has been continuously immersed in the world of visual arts.
