Kevin Ayers, Spanish Guitarist

Kevin Ayers can play some badass spanish guitar. Last weekend, I (along with three other filmmakers) shot a minimalistic type of music video for his cover of Cimarosa, a very classical piece of music. To the majority of today's TV-subscribed audience, this type of music is slow-going. We covered him with six cameras while he played the song out six times - 36 angles. That gave me some room in the edit to keep the momentum visually stimulating. The music being traditional, I thought the environment's minimalism would pair well with the song's composition.

Rain has taken its toll on the land and now we must live with the temporary beauty. Even some colored-in landscape near the freeway can make the traffic slightly more bearable.
